Would two GTX 480 or would one GTX 670 do better? I intend to use them for playing games primarily but I also stream and edit videos. I'd like to be able to record/stream videos in 720p at least in max graphics. I also plan on getting 16 gigs of RAM (haven't found the certain ones yet, I'll take suggestions), an i7 of some sort (probably w/e the budget allows after the last parts) and honestly I'd take suggestions on a motherboard too if you have any.
Two GTX480s will be faster in some (but far from all) cases, but make a huge racket, a vast amount of heat and a lot of noise, not to mention requiring an enormous PSU (900W+). The GTX670 is just a pain-free way of getting pretty much the same amount of performance 80%+ of the time without the hassles of SLI, using out of date hardware, or all that heat/noise and the associated problems with.
