I need some help.I am not too computer savy but my children want laptops as we are constantly on the road because of my job. I dont want to spend much but would like to get them something that will last them quite some time. Can anyone suggest what I should by or what I should look for when buying a laptop?
a clear, bright screen and maybe a multi-core cpu with a decent speed, 3gb or 4gb of ram is pretty standard nowadays i think and harddrive size in my opinion is not so much a huge deal, if you should need more storage as time goes by external hdds can be had for a great price. i dont really want to recommend certain brands, but i would generally avoid emachines and acer(although the netbooks are probably ok), just my two cents.
