Hi All, I just bought a new 16GB iPhone 3GS and I'm wanting to jailbreak it. I have done some research in to this and followed Thisthis guide to make my own firmware. When I load the firmware in to the PwnageTool it says its not a valid firmware. I used version 3.0 of the PwnageTool as that was the only one available on Newzbin. I then downloaded a program called blackra1n and this installed 2 apps, cydiua & rock. I'm not familiar with rock, but is the cydia app the free replacement for itunes store? Does this mean I have now jailbroken the phone as it only taken 30 secs? Also, I tried to download a pre modded firmware and just using itunes to update to this, but it just sticks on "preparing the iphone for restore" and then fails with a unknown error after about 5 mins. Thanks for all your help with this and apologies to those who attempted to assist me last night on AD live chat, mIRC was playing funny buggers and the web app still shows me as banned. Mike
