So essentially what I would like to know and have confirmed is that(through use of search)
I can jailbreak my iphone 4:
Still connect/use itunes/app store to still do things by legal means?
(all I'm using JB for is the gameboy emulator)
If all goes wrong I can restore back to official iOS without leaving a trace?
Update to 4.3 when it comes out?
