i tried to jailbreak my iphone 3g that has the 3.0 fw, using the redsn0w method. i got the error 2002 and then my iphone was froze. i treid to restore it but it gave me the same 2002 error. so i rebooted the phone and the pc and i was able to restore my phone with the 3.0.1 fw. my question is what exactly is the 2002 error and is there a way for me to jailbreak my phone with the new 3.0.1 fw. Lastly what all can i do with a phone the is jailbroken

    Hi

Did you use the latest version of Redsnow, which is version 8.0, and I am not certain of the error that you are stating that you got, but it could be many things.

I did a little quick search for you, and the error 2002, seems to be related to the phone being stuck in DFU mode.

Use the link I have put below this info, the link is to the iclarified website, and it is dedicated to helping people with all kinds of problems around everything apple related.

Jailbreaking/unlocking an iphone is a fantatsic tool, and allows you to fully personalise the phone for yourself, and do things that APPLE, do not want you to do, and also if you unlock, it usuailly ends up becoming cheaper and not being tied to one provider, which is how they make the money form you, in their contract.
