Hi everyone, if i jailbroke my iphone 3gs, is it possible to revert it back to it's original state before being jailbroken? And if so, does anyone know how this can be done without any issues?
Say for instance i wanted to install the original firmware back on to it? I am just worried that if i do jailbreak it, it could become "bricked" and lock up on me. Has there been many/any cases of that happening, and if so how can you "unbrick" it? I should imagine the 3.1 firmware update won't be out for a few months yet, seeing as the 3.0 patch has only just come out a few weeks ago.
Just follow the guides I have made. If you do, you won't brick it. The groups that have released this made the tools work, and my guide shows you how to do it. And changing back to default firmware is just as easy like I said.
Could you put the link up for your guides please? Don't want to sound clueless but what are the benefits of jailbreaking my iphone? I've only had it two weeks now so am new to the whole scene.
have you looked up anything on this website before you started? These questions have been answered many times. I'm not going to explain the benefits of jailbreaking, because you can look it up, and see from previous questions on here what they are. This has also been posted before, so from now in, do a little research, ask questions based off of that (if you need clarification), and many more people will be inclined to help. http://www.stateofthesceneaddress.com/wiki/index.php?title=IPhone_Tutorials
