Can you plug in a micro memory card into an iPhone?

#1 19 Jul 2011 @ 9:54
I have a 8 GB iPhone 3GS. Is it possible to plug in a micro memory card into this to bump up storage space? I see a number of ominous silver rectangles on the top left side of the phone, almost looks like you can open one and slide a memory card into it.

But is this actually possible to do on this phone?

The booklet/leaflet that came with the phone was not much help. It was as sparse as what you'd get from Ikea to build their furnitures.

Thanks for the help.

Nope. You can only use the internal memory. The slot on the top of your iPhone is for your SIM card.
