How do i prevent Itunes from opening?

Hello, i am a iphone owner for the first time but when i bought the phone it did not come with a wall charger, so i have to charge the phone through my PC. Every time i connect the phone to my PC itunes comes up automatically. I cant find the option to prevent this. Can someone please help?
