    I have a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 soundcard I no longer use. It works on Window XP, Vista, & 7. I've had zero problems with when I tried out Ubuntu and Fedora so Linux support is (from my experience) pretty solid. It is PCI based. Heres a review for those who have never heard of Creative:
