When I "used" to engage wi-fi on Samsung Captivate, the wi-fi icon would come on, and the 3g would go away. Now, when I put on wi-fi, the wi-fi icon come on, but 3g icon stays. This happen to anyone?
I have the Samsung Captivate as well. That usually happens when I am switches from WiFi to mobile data services, or vice versa. I have my networks saved so there are some confusions when it automatically connects.
go into ur mms setting and turn on the 3g settings. I only use the phone on wifi. when I first started using my android my 3g usage thing was on for 2 weeks and my credit was getting zapped. So turned it off and I just use the wifi off my home and hotels and what not.
