I have an htc hero with cell south. It is running version 1.5. I would really like to update this, it seems the carrier is never going to. WIth the recent release of 2.2 can I manualy install this myself? WOuld this be safe? Would 2.1 be better for now? If so, would I simply download the files and follow the directions from the android website, or is this mostly for developers and not for users? I kind of figured there is a reason the carrier is waiting. Also can I go back to previous versions if Im unhappy with a new one? Thanks Cody
you can only get the 2.1 for the hero go to htc.com you have to do it with the computer you cant do it over the air and the new one is better they upgraded a few things i havent had any problems with the 2.1
