Converting Xvid AVI to DVD

#1 21 Aug 2011 @ 8:15
My father inlaw is way old school and a DVD player is advanced technology for him. I have an Xvid AVI movie that I'd like to burn for him but conversion software that I've tried always results in the audio being out of synch.

Is there a program that does this reliably?

Any help is appreciated

Specifically the file is:
DVDRip.XviD.AC3-ART3MiS.avi

For converting AVI to DVD I would use FAVC (unless it's under Windows 7 where some tinkering may be required).
