I am trying to install xbox image browser but I am getting a message saying:
Runtime error 339. Component MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly register: a file is missing or invalid.
I look at the readme file attached with the xbox image browser.
NOTE:
If your getting an error in windows 7 (or other os) with mscomctl.ocx which
is stopping backup creator from running then try this
Get the mscomctl.ocx whether zip/rar form or whatever, extract to( C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. ) LEFT CLICK ON "Command Prompt" and choose "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR"
this is important, RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR ok got that good, then use "CD C:\Windows\system"
NOT \system32
Then "regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx"
But I am unable to figure out how to do this. I am a total newbie when it comes to this kind of stuff. Can anyone send me the xbox image file or help me do this?
