Saints Row 2 System Link Problems

Me and my buddy are trying to play Saints Row 2 through system link and we are having problems. We have 2 copies of the game, 2 XBOX 360s, and 2 TVs. We hook everything up, connect the systems with a CAT5 cable, and start the game on both systems. We are both able to host a system link game, but the other player is not able to find the hosted game. Both systems display the message "No Games Found" when we search for the other players hosted game. Any idea on what the problem could be? The only reason I bought a second copy of this game was to be able to system link with my buddy, but since it cant find the other players game, we still arent able to play the game together.
