External HDD USB 3.0 compability, Buffalo Neo

Models 1TB/2TB (not 3TB) Drivestation, Neo, USB 3.0 ( 2T 127€ )

- work well out from box with PS3 slim.
- external power source

These Drives work also well with Sony Handycam HDR-CXseries with optional USB adaptor VMC-UAM1. Replacement adaptors difficult to find, so I bought original.
Direct copying to external drive. Also Playback possible from external usb hdd.

PS3 only have usb2 ports, so this drive will only work at usb2 speeds not 3.

But: Two of them allready broken with in two month with minimum use..
One totally dead. This one now: USB 3.0 feature not booting, with USB 2.0 still works..
Quality is lousy. Do not buy !

Yep, but apparantly some new ones that have been modded can be capable of using other channels as well.
