ps3 slim 160gb fan not working?

when i feel the back of the ps3, I noticed that there is no air coming out. Also, from what I've read, the fan of the ps3 is supposedly loud but I dont hear any on mine. Is the fan not working? the ps3 is not hot aside from the bottom part. Ps: Sorry I'm noob. thanks

The slim fan is a lot quieter than the other fan models. If there is no heat on the top cover then the fan has no reason to go fast unless there is a problem.
