Not surprised. Windows 7 is great; a step up from Vista (which wasn't bad! Well, only if you didn't use it...) and a HUGE leap from XP (quit clinging to that dinosaur!). Good competitor to OSX (which DOES have issues!)

the Acer I bought is not worth it. It does not indicate whether or not the capital letters is on or off and you cannot disable the touchpad. After hours and hours of so called tech support they told me I would have to use their advanced tech support which would cost the earth. I warn against these computers.

I have been hearing a lot of positive things from Win7 users, even those on meager hardware setups. Will be interesting to see how fast MS can sweep this Vista thing under the rug.

Their laptops are in my experience miserable unless you get one of their high end ones. I infact just bought an Acer 20" LCD today for black friday. Purchased for 79.99, and it's normally 120 or more online. And it's also a great monitor so far. They are just like any other company, they have their ups and downs. Although Microsoft will probably bring out some new fee for using Windows 7 and all that profit will be lost...
