Even so, it took just over 10 years for DVD to completely kill off VHS sales.

Looks like a free trial version....after you download it (WinX BD Decrypter), you are invited to purchase a full version as the trial offer cautions that you will only be able to a decrypt a BD source no larger than 3.5GB. Yeah this is bait and switch. Slysoft's 21day trial of AnyDVD/HD allows you to use the software as you wish within the softwares overall limits, Not some watered down free version. Don't waste your time get Slysoft's AnyDVD/HD. The best SD/HD decrypter on the market......period!!!!!!

It's pretty darn good, but I dunno about best. I haven't had anyone recommend me anything else though so it's way up there on the list.

Lower the damn prices on blank blu-ray discs to a dollar each and you'll see blu-ray skyrocket.

Until then, Sony can get stuffed with their greedy selves.

Why do people always single out Sony when there's news about Blu-ray?
There are plenty of brands that produce BD-R and BD-RE discs. The Blu-ray association is also comprised of a number of companies, of which Sony is only one. Plenty of movie studios are releasing on Blu-ray, again, of which Sony Movie Studios is only one. So why single them out?

Again, it looks like a bunch of people (not all) talking out of their hind end because they lack any ability to reason.

If you're gonna hate on Sony for Blu-ray, you have to equally hate Panasonic, Pioneer, Phillips, etc. to not be a hypocrite. Some of these forums are like listening to partisan political hacks on TV who just make up nonsense (i.e. lie) for anything they have no other basis for their position.

A single layer ridata BDR costs $3...less if you buy more than one at a time. If your local store charges $25...then I would not buy ANYTHING from them.

This program is a scam...it isn't free; it is just a trial, and not as good as other trials. I can't think why DVDBack23 would even post this unless he works for WinX or something.

Great post! Have to agree with you.

I see a lot of hate on Blu-ray (even more so since some people think Blu-ray = Sony and Sony = Blu-ray), but:
- Blu-ray prices are dropping faster than DVD prices did in the same time-span, especially blu-rays with commercial movies on them
- Blu-ray market penetration is a bit ahead of DVD penetration, also in the same time span

I think there's a lot of negativity towards blu-ray, mainly because:

- Sony is involved and some people seem to think they are the biggest evil on the planet (I think they just made some good calls and some bad calls in the past, just like any other company)

- I'll just come out and say it: some people are used to being able to pirate their DVD movies easily and cheaply. They don't want to buy their movies, they just want to download/borrow and burn to blank media. Blu-ray has better encryption, making it harder to copy and blank media is (for now) too expensive. So they complain. To them I say: tough titty, suck it up! I pay on average 14-15 USD for my blu-ray movies, which is a fair price IMHO for a movie I really like. For that price I get the movie in full 1080p, lossless audio, as well as extra's and in some cases digital copy or the DVD version thrown in. I pay even less per disc for TV series.

Ditto that.....I back up SD DVD and BLU-RAY all the same. I buy my BLU-RAY and prefer SONY products over most electronics (and disc media too). Yes the media is expensive for BLU-RAY and to your point I get all of the extras special features on my BD back ups too, thanks to AnyDVD/HD and DVDFAB BD to BD. My comment about the BD WinX software is factual as what they offer is nothing but slick or common promotion ploy and to this I say from my experience, get AnyDVD/HD. "REAL CD/DVD and BD DECRYPTION"!!!!!PERIOD. :)

You know what. I downloaded the slysoft trial version at one time and it didn't work. I tried to contact the company but didn't get any useful support. By the time they announced they had more success in cracking the BD+, my 21 day trial period had already passed and they never allowed me to run that program again. So I never bother to buy their products anymore.

This is a nice bit of scammerware we have here.. There are other methods and free tools which with a little care can do exactly the same thing. Puzzles me why people always think paying for something gets them "the best" .. many many times it doesn't.. windoze and norton are the two most obvious examples..

This sounds a fair game to me. Yes, you are only registering a trial version but it's free. You have the option of buying an upgrade later but it's not mandatory.

But it doesn't say anything about registering a trial version with that info, it says to get the FULL Version for Free, use that info.

I downloaded the "so called FREE" Full Version of WinX Blue-ray Decrypter. The company's words were:--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Reg Code: WinXBDD-2009-1216-1231

I did exactly what was suggested on two different computers & each time after typing in the Reg Name & Reg Code I clicked on REGISTER as advised. In both cases, nothing happened except the Register screen froze & I had to reboot the computer to get rid of it. I tried it again unsuccessfully to registere but to no avail.
Has anyone else had the same problem. Any suggestions?

Don't waste your time....these bumb proscam softwares just want in...I know from personal experience...I bought ($paid for$)two SO-CALLED...BD Ripp&Burn software's who wanted your money to use full versions of their software while you walk them through getting the process right....i.e. R&D.....KICK ROCKS WANNABEEZ!!!!!!GET ANYDVD/HD & DVDFAB BLU-RAY TO BLU-RAY FULLY AUTOMATED READY TO ROCK DECRYPTING AND BURNING....DID I SAY REPUTABLE SOFTWARE!. Don't waste your time and expensive media or hard disk space on quirky trash...purchase the BIG BOY software the PRO'S use.
