Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Read more about the update and let us know what you think!

Possible to remix a song like this?

#1 06 Aug 2009 @ 10:43
I dont have much clue about remixing a song or the use of all kinds of
audio mix software out there but is it possible to for excample making the guitar more upfrond in a audio mix?
Or can this only be done in a proffesional studio with acess to the master tapes for that particular recording?

the best you could do is use an audio editing program such as audacity and use the equalizer to try and increase the general frequencies of the guitar, but other than that there's not much you can do with the stereo mix of a song. you need a multi track format what has each instrument on separate tracks.

For the best quality mp3s use EAC (exact audio copy) to rip your audio CDs and LAME to encode them. Follow this guide:
