I have a webcam which has worked for me. Recently i installed it again with the disc and of course inserted the connection into the USB port. Through "Sound Recorder" and "Audacity" it records when i speak into it, but in playback it plays scratchy and distorted, no voice sound at all.
I tried another webcam (a similar one) in the same process and it records and the playback is clear voice sound.
Do you have any ideas why one is ok and the other not please? Thank You

Either the hardware or software is damaged. I would try using the web cam on a different computer to see if the problem is on the other computer. If so it is probably hardware. Then you need to get another web cam.
