To verify that it's not a software problem, download and run ImgBurn. On the first screen, select 'Help' > 'ImgBurn Logs..' and delete any log file that exists. Select 'Write files/folders to disk' Drag any small file onto the window. Click the 'Test Mode' box, insert a blank CD-R and burn it (nothing will be burned, but communication between the burner and the software is tested). Assuming it completes OK, exit Imgburn and restart it. Under Help > ImgBurn logs, copy and paste the log file here. If the log indicated a successful burn, uncheck the Test Mode box and burn the project on the disk. Recheck the log if it fails.
