I know that this is a long shot, but is there any kind of software that you can just run an avi movie through and it will go through the whole file and improve the looks of it. Some kind of "one click' deal, similar to how MP3 Doctor will "normalize: an mp3 file?
This is mainly for some older classic movies that I have downloaded. Some are in amazingly great shape, others just look like they could use some tweaking. I know that there are lot's of tools in various programs like VirtualDub and AVIdemux that you can fire up but I'm not alaways certain of settings or which tool of the many available to feel comfortable enough to do much.
About all I have done is use the Sharpen tool in VirtualDub and that actually did help some.
