GSPOT CODEC Error Message

I imported some video footage off of my digital camera and when I try to play it in windows movie maker or media player it only plays the sound and no video.
I downloaded GSPOT (though not familiar with the software) and opened my file in it. It gave the error message
Failed to connect output pin 0x02c91f6c ("STREAM 00") on AVI splitter to input pin 0x02c94b4c ("XForm In") on filter 0x03c88c99 ("InterVideo MPEG4 Video Decoder"). Connect Direct()Failed. Error: 0x80040207: [Unknown]
Please assist me as to what steps I should take next..............
