How to make a 720p (pre-ripped) Movie fit a standard 4.7 DVD?

#1 23 Sep 2010 @ 18:58
Hi Guys,

I've been using HandBrake, XmediaRecoder, MediaCoder, etc in the past.

What's the best way (when over-burning doesn't work & I prefer not to use it), to make a movie size that overshoots the standard 4.7 DVD size by some megabytes fit?

I know re-encoding to fit is an option of course (haha), but is there a faster way/program?

Thanks kindly for any helpful info.

NB: Either for x264 or Xvid based rips

Use something like AVIdemux in copy mode
and trim off the last 30 seconds or so - assuming it's the credits.

Thanks davexnet!

I'm loving that program more and more!

I'm test out copying the video, but compressing the audio down slightly. Fingers X'd!
