MKV to DVD while preserving 5.1 AC3?

Hey guys, I just used Avi2DVD to convert a 6 channel MKV file to DVD and realized that for some reason the DVD audio is 2channel AC3. Avi2DVD's temp folder contains a huge WAV file and a 320mb AC3 file (titled AudioStream 1 AAC 6CH) which tells me that Avi2DVD is deciding to down mix the original audio stream. How do I go about correcting this?
