need good avi editing program

    Does anyone know of an avi editing program, where I can cut out a section of the avi, without changing anything else?
    I have tired virtualdub without any success.
    Please help

    If you want to cut out some segments of the file and leave anything else the originality, I'd suggest MPEG Video Wizard DVD, it's frame-by-frame accurate and edit out segments easily.

    And this will work for avi's? as well as Mpeg's?

    AFAIK, it works with video clips include MPEG and AVI video files.

    womble mpeg video wizard works with avi (but it works better on mpegs), but a better program and free will be avidemux. It's all I use to edit avi (xvid/divx/h264).
