I would like to get the footage from my SD card into my comp. to edit and send to youtube and to put on my web site. I tried the program that came with the camara and also AVS's programs. once I edit the sound will not match the video and the footage is jerkey. Sanyo could provide not help and so far no sloution from AVS.

avidemux can handle/edit those type of files. You might give that software a try, it usually keeps my videos in sync.

maybe iwisoft free video converter can help you slove your problem. They give a solution for how to use this freeware to solve such a problem in FAQ.
