Hi. I am using SONIC MyDVD 6.2 to make a dvd out of some old kids shows I have in XVID. Everything seems to go smoothly and .iso is created without errors, however when I try to play the resulting DVD I get a double video (i.e. 2 slightly overlapping video images side by side). As the DVD is for the kids in the car on long trips (and as its a 7inch screen quality is irrelevant)I have opted for the EP VHS quality to fit 26 20 min episodes on a single layer DVD. I tried asking at the Sonic tech support but they say its old tech (i.e. S.O.L.) Also, have tried playing DVD in stand alone players, my XBOX and through MediaPlayerClassic all with the same result. Is this a codec problem with the windows box I am using? From searching the forums here I have found that Sonic is not the recommended software to use but its simple, quick and came on my comp... if there is a way to make it work I'd appreciate hearing it... BTW it (sonic) worked flawlessly when making DVDs of home movies (Kodak digital camera .mov files as source) many times in the past... Now that I mention it, I'll try a different source to see if it helps and post results later... Thanks for your time.\

Well, I found a work around that got the disc burned properly (Booted a BART PE disc then dug around in the restore partition until I found the sonic install folder, copied that to a laptop and installed the program there) So...running the software on a different box (and getting good results) makes me think its a codec issue on my main machine? KLITE codec tweak tool said xvid was broken so I un/re installed it and no change. But it would seem to me (in my head anyhow) that the MPEG2 codec would be the culprit (as the XVID files played fine before and after reinstalling the codec)... Well, if anyone can point me in the right direction to fix this I would appreciate it...
