Hi, I'm going through the process of converting my ripped VOB files into Xvid to play on a media center I've hooked up to my TV. I've ripped the VOB using DVDshrink so I have one single VOB file for each movie/episode of a series.. but I've tried using my xilisoft video converter and the output is pretty bad quality! Even when going up to 800mb+ for a 1 hour 30 min movie the quality isn't as it should be. Anyone suggest a good converter that produces good results at around 800mb a Movie?
AutoGk is good. You can set it to a particular file size or by quality (I use 75% quality). If you set it to 'Quality' it does a single pass. If you pick a particular size, it does two passes. If your PC has multiple cores, they will be used - which speeds things up.
