i have a Philips DVDR3505/37 DVD Player/Recorder, it can play divx vod files, if i down load from divx .com/ vod. and put a code in, Is there away to play reg , avi files with this unit, maybe changing avi to something different?I don't want to convert them. thanks for any help you can give me on this xbill

You can try the 4cc Changer
Type in:
divx
DIVX
or
dx50
DX50

Note the upper and lower case in the top and bottom field.

i tried the 4cc changer it didn.t seam to help.what i did find out was it will play my old avi files, but not the new ones. the new avi .s have this after the name .s02e06.hdtv.xvid-fqm or hdtv avi, when i burn them with nero as a data file , same way i did the old avi files, they won't play in my set top. is the hdtv the problem? Thanks xbill

Are they the same resolution as the old AVI files (maximum 720x576)

useing mediainfo it says the video stream is: 624*352(16/9)at23976 fps.do50 Thanks for the reply xbill

These AVI/DivX files aren't larger than 2GB?

The name would have to be .avi or .DivX for this machine?

there are only 350MB tv show.
