Hi, I hope I'm, in the right thread here.

I have just downloaded an eleven-part series which was originally ripped from Canadian Television. details of the first episode are as folows:

    Recorded from Canadian TV
    Duration 24mins
    Frame Width 352
    Frame Height 256
    Frame Rate 29fps
    Data Rate 1412 bps
    Bitrate 80
    Total Bitrate 1492 bps
    Video: DivX 5 352x256 29.97fps [00) Video]
Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 32000Hz stereo 80Kbps [01) Audio]

the above info is for all the episodes

The picture is of TV quality, bit grainy but good and audio is good. However, after converting through ConvertXtoDVD and burning to disc the audio on playback is 'choppy' but the video is still good.

For curiousity I decided to re-encode the second episode through Winavi and then found, after conversion, that the video and audio are now out of sync.

This is proving a real headache. Can anyone help please?

ConvertX saves the output to a folder? - how does it sound when those files are played back on the PC.
