MP4 No Sound/Audio

    I was given an MP4 from my friend who filmed some stuff with his HD camera.
    None of my players can play the audio, video is fine.
    VLC doesn't work, nor does smplayer, WMP, etc.
    Gspot shows nothing in the audio section, video it says H.264/MPEG-4 AVC.
    I would like to upload them to youtube.
    What can I do?

    What did it play like on the camera is there any audio that's audible,if in vlc you use menu bar & select audio track & it's blank with no track 1 then the recording has no audio file,mediainfo lite will also determine if audio is present & at what rate of kb it is
