Sudden issue playing 720p x264 .MKV videos

#1 28 Mar 2011 @ 2:40
Hi,

Up until recently I had the CCCP codec pack installed and had no issues playing video. All of a sudden over the past few days it has been impossible for me to playback any x264 720p .MKV videos.

I have tried the following players VLC, WMP, MLC HC, Gom video player

with no luck.

I have confirmed that the file is no corrupt by loading it on my laptop which plays it flawlessly using the same CCCP codec pack. I have uninstalled the codec pack and reinstalled it, I have been slaving over this issue for hours and I cannot for the life of me get it to work. What do you recommend I try? I have scanned my computer for viruses and other malware with no hits.

this is what matroskadiag dumped out. I'm not quite sure what to make of it besides something is wrong with ffdshow
