Hello everyone! I hope i posted this in the correct section.

I got a Sylvania DV-2100 digital video camera. Now this is ment for taking still pictures and video. So i figure i could get a movie or shrinked dvd and convert it to the same format the camera uses and play it back right on the device?

So i took a look at the video codec the camera records in with AVIcodec:



I took a movie a video clip i had(game trailer) just to test out and re-encode it to MJPEG. I tried VDUB using the mjpec and pcm outputs. I also used avidemux. Checked them in AVIcodec after and had similar specifications as the original AVI taken from the camera. All but the file size (of course) and video bit rate were different.

Copied over to the the camera, turned it on and when it tries to play, it reads "file error"

I fi could get any help with this so i can watch my movies. Thanks
