TS File Conversion????

hey guys, i've downloaded a video that has multiple TS files. i can't seem to play them in either VLC or MPC.

can these files be merged to a single file and then conver to mkv/mp4?

thanks, i tried HDTV2MPEG2 and got an error when trying to add file.

"could not find a channel"

what does this mean?

 

i also tried Freemake_Video_Converter

it converted my TS file which is 4.4gb to 1.7gb mpeg2 file and loose the HD track.

 

I can convert .ts to .mkv and keep the resolution and audio.
