Hi guys. Desperately need some help. I did a fresh install a few days ago and since then whenever i play avi files, it can play fine for X amount of minutes then all of a sudden the video will freeze but the audio will continue then the video will fast forward if you like to catch up. This happens to all avi files and is on all media players i have tried Ive ran for Spyware and virus using AVG and Spybot with no luck on that front and i have installed K-Lite codec pack with no luck either. Please can anybody help
Investigate CPU usage during playback, check the device manager for anything unusual, and look for updated video drivers and/or chipset drivers.
I had the exact same version. Simple solution - went back to the older version of VLC. You can find it here (for Mac): http://mac.oldapps.com/VLC_Player.php Runs smooth now
