Downloaded an avi file for a movie. I usually use DVD Flicks to burn to a disk but in this case it won't open the file saying it might be corrupted or the format may not be supported. I will assume for the moment that its not corrupted, but how do I tell what format its in . The file is a AVI. Could it be that it needs a different codec to play and burn, how do I tell?

    Thanks

No, it means it might be corrupted, like a damaged, incomplete download.
Can you play the file without any problems?
Try using Divfix++ and see if it will repair it.
