AVI to DVD

    Hello Everyone,

    I have some avi files that i would like to conevrt to DVD format that i can play them on my Home DVD player(s). Im using SONY accuCORE DVD-R Disc. For now just lookin to create a couple of DVDs so dont want to waste any money for software. Which, if any sofware is avaliable to do this. I have looked but all that i find is Free Trial that leaves watermark on my images.....Thanks for all the help.....

    ok, so I went and got WinAvi. I tried to convert an avi movie to DVD. Then I use the Burner that comes with WinAvi. the file burns but when i place it in my dvd player, nothing. what gives.... Really new at all this so have patience with me. what im I missing here.

    WinAvi is turning the files to .vob files, now what do I use and how to burn into DVD-R so that my DVD player will ready/play?

    Do you have Windows Movie Maker on your computer?

    I do not, I just used Winavi to burn a DVD and it worked, looked like i was not adding the Video TS file and the other files found in the Video TS file. i tryin with another file that I converted from avi to DVD (vob)....

    attar gave you very good advice... DVD Flick is free and will convert .avi to DVD format and burn a DVD that will play in any DVD player... It uses a version of ImgBurn as its burning program and ImgBurn is the best there is...

    Or if you're looking for a commercial (not free) program, ConvertXtoDVD3 (by VSO software) is wonderful (gives you more choice of menus, customization, etc)... but, DVD Flick will do what you're looking for if you just want to be able to convert, burn and play.
