So I have DVDFab and ImgBurn and Im trying to get a copy of a DVD for a friend.

I can get the DVD onto my harddrive with DVDFab but it saves it as .IFO, .VOB, .BUP files (or whatever) NOT as .ISO

I cannot for the life of me get those onto the DVD-R! Im running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron Laptop which CLEARLY states that it has the DVD ReWritable and Recordable abilities on the sides and every time it tells me there is no device detected.

Can someone please help me? Ask if you need more info.

    Thanks!

It saves it that way in video_ts folder. If you want to save it as an iso, just use imgburn "create image file from files/folders" and it will create and iso file.

Have you tried after using DVDFAB, using Shrink? It will encode the rip and save you a ISO file and also burn it to disc using Imgburn.

So what? Who says you have to have an ISO to burn the movie to DVD?Unless the movie is too big to fit on a SL DVD, no need to use DVD Shrink.
Just load the Video_TS folder(the one with all the "scary" VOB,IFO...) in ImgBurn and it will burn it for you.
