DVD drives have turned to CD drives only

    Hi I recently had a couple of viruses on my PC and now when I try to burn a DVD nero will only let me select the CD method. When I clicked on my computer to view my drives it also lists them there as CD drives. I have extrenal and internal DVD drives and both have this problem. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Nero 7. Can any one help me?

    hi :)
    go to control panel....performance & maintenance...admin tools...computer management....device manager...open up DVD/CD-ROM drives...right click each drive and uninstall. restart computer, should reinstall automaticly and be ok

    My DVD drive always shows up as CD-Drive in Windows explorer. Doesn't stop any application from finding it as a DVD drive and burn.
