May I know how to convert dvd to vcd and convert flv to vcd?

May I know any freeware can convert dvd to vcd and also flv to vcd?
Can they be done by avidemux?

I don't know of any free one-click solutions.

For DVD files:
Rip DVD to folder.
Convert VOB files in the folder to one large mpeg2 file using Vob2Mpg
Convert the mpeg2 file to mpeg1 (with mpa audio) using 'Any Video Converter'
Convert mpeg1 file to VCD using VcdEasy (last free version) or VcdGear
Burn the image file with ImgBurn
