I want to burn DVD's mostly from my HD video camera (AVCHD) but also from existing DVD's and recently purchased a LiteOn eSAU208 DVD burner w/software. Very discouraging...computer (Win XP) doesn't recognize, USB cable is so short that burner won't even sit on top of computer and, worse, the included Nero 9 Essentials software doesn't even record DVD's without paying for an upgrade. Before I send it back and exchange it for something that works how about some recommendations. After reading all the reviews it seems that there isn't a burner that rates above two stars. Can somebody recommend a decent, reliable DVD burner and software that actually works?
