one click dvd copy pro better than dvd fab platinum?

I have been struggling with backing up my son's favorite Baby Songs DVD, which somehow got some scratches. I tried many programs, from Magic DVD Copier, DVD Fab, and finally 1 Click DVD Copy Pro. I was surprised that 1 click was the only one able to rip the files without an issue. I guess what I'm asking is, is 1 Click better than DVD Fab at ripping scratched dvds, or are my settings wrong in DVD Fab Platinum?
Thanks in advance!

I guess it doesn't matter, because like magic dvd copier, the one click dvd copy pro version plays fine the first time around, then when I rewind or repeat it, it skips after a while. Time for a new dvd player I guess. I ripped six days and 7 nights with passkey and shrink with no problem. Will try my son's movie to see if dvd fab can get a good rip at least.
