    Hi,
    I got a movie file
converted it to "dvd pal" using ..."any video converter "
I burnt that file onto a dvd-r using ImgBurn

everything seemed ok the disc played in my "Lite DVD player"

but..... it wont play in my sony dvd player nor my panasonic dvd player

If I burn a movie file onto dvd I want it to play on any old dvd player
... is this too much to ask ?

    IMHO, yes it is.

DVD players vary in their ability to read burned discs.

Burned DVDs have different optical properties than pressed discs.

Sometimes the laser in the DVD has to work harder to read a burned disc.

Sometimes the design of the DVD player doesn't lend itself to reading burned discs well.

Some DVD players aren't even certified to read burned DVDs.
