    Always glad to help.

Blank media is a huge factor in quality burns. Thus, why i was seeking a burn log.

Anything else we can help with, let us know.

    Happy burning!

Your DVD ROM, May have seen Better Days. (Seems to Be a 2005 Model)

My Suggestion is to Replace it with a New Burner. You Can Use your Old Burner as a Reader and It should Still play CDs.

Ritek Are Generally fairly good Media.
    Try Burning at 4X.

    Also Try Burning With Imgburn.

You could also use a little more Memory. Most People use 1 Gig

thank you again for your help..Yes I know I really do need to get more memory..and will see after I buy new DVD's if I still get errors then I will replace the burner...Can you be of any help with my CD ROM Drive...Its a SAMSUNG ROM-SD-616T...I would like to do a firmware update on it...Its not reading any data CD's or Music etc. It acts like it will load the disk but then it don't..and the way my luck is...I guess both my CD Rom and Burner went out at the same time..lol

wow.. a sammy 616T .. people will pay BIG money for those working or not on ebay (xbox parts) .. but as it's an 8 year old drive I guess the laser has finally given up (check for pot tweaks tho.. and give it a really good clean.. my 604's are still going strong)... defo don't think there was ever a firmware upgrade for the drive as a stock pc rom.. there is a hacked firmware to use it as an xbox drive.

my solution.. sell the 616 as spares/repair on fleabay and use the proceeds to buy a nice new burner

    Hi

I read some opinion in this topic. I do not agree above ideal. We can find out some articles at SPAM.com, I think that it is useful for our community.
