i tried to install adobe reader after removing it from my program files. I keep getting an error message
    Error 1402.Could not open key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MAHINE32 \SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents\MSFS.
Verify thta you have sufficient access to that key. or contact your system personnel.

I am not sure what to do but if anyone has an idea please let me know. I already removed the file and tried to install a newer version adobe 9.3 and still I get this same error message.

Try uninstalling it, using a registry cleaner like CCleaner, rebooting and then trying to reinstall.

...If that does not work, you could always use one of the portable versions.

Thanks, I used ccleaner and I think that is when I started having problems, it erased the hkeys. I will try to uninstall the adobe again and reinstall adobe.

    Thanks for the assist.
