CamStudio, how do I mute mic and record only a video's audio? Also Waveout Error Message issue.

Hi all, it's been awhile since I've been up here. I recently installed CamStudio and need some help. Before I record I choose "Record from Speakers" thinking that this means I won't be recording from my mic, just the audio of what I'm watching. When I choose this option I get the error message "WaveoutGetSelectControl()failed". When I go ahead and record anyway I do indeed record the audio from the video I am watching, but also pick up my ambiant room noise through my built-in mic. I don't care so much about the error message, but I'd like to figure out how to mute my mic so I only record the video's audio (there may be times I want to record both, and that doesn't seem to be a problem). I've clicked on "Help" and read the instructions that come up, but despite following them correctly (I believe) I get that error message, and find no way to do what I want. Does anyone out there know primarily how to mute the mic so only the video's audio records, and second, how to eliminate the error message? Thanks in advance to all you great folks out there.
