i have seen some one infront of a pc store holding a ps2 slim which has an hdd on top of it, and it was not using any thing at the back of it but rather a simple hddcable and straight inside the ps2 slim on the board of it. plaese is some one having an idea of it? if yes plese can you let me know how it come by like that

The V12 and V13 slim are capable of that using a hdd connect cable.

The other slim versions aren't capable of it as Sony removed the IDE hdd interface

please can you show me how to do this? because i have a ps2 slim v12 and the lens is now not reading dvd games, so i cant play any latest games. thank u.

It is a pain in the *** to solder it in, even if you can find one...and they stopped making them a while ago, so most legitimate sites are long sold out.

You are better off going to ebay & buying a network adapter and a fat model with a bad laser.
