Site update - March 16th 2010

AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Read more about the update and let us know what you think!

Need xbox help please

#1 24 Oct 2009 @ 3:57
I built an eeprom reader writer and proceeded to read my eeprom, it worked ok, I then proceeded to write it back to the chip and it worked fine.

But i made a mistake when de-soldering the wires from the LPC. The eeprom reader writer was still connected to the com port of my pc, i started with the SLC wire all i saw was a few sparks flying and my xbox could no longer be swithced on, but power is still getting to the motherboard coz the led to the xeno fx chip i have still lights up when i connect the xbox to the power.

Please anyone tell me how to fix this.

A thread title of "Need xbox help please" in a forum of the same name is as bad as "Please Help".
In future please see here about thread titles ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/440385

Sounds to me like you've fried something so i doubt anything here will help ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/357863
