hi all, new to the xbox but am going to get one in the next 3 weeks probably off ebay. what do i look for as in future use and such. and this may sound dumb but if the games are not "installed" why the different size drives?...storage i.e. music? movies? all info will be appreciated
what are you on about? .. a stock xbox has 2 sizes of drives.. 8.6 gig and 10 gig.. just because they were cheap and available at the time I guess... The seagate 10 gig is an interesting drive.. it's a 20 gig with only one side of the platter used.. quite odd really. Might have been a way to use up a large batch of faulty 20 gig platters... the drives themselves are reliable tho..
More than likely this is a xbox 360 post in the wrong section. When i saw this thread i didn't reply for just this reason... for your 360 answers 20 gig- basic memory pretty much just to download the update and some dlc from xbox live. 60 gig- mid range upgrade, for someone who wants to install some games to their hard drive but not go all out and buy the 120 gig. 120 gig- largest you can get (for now), for someone who wants to install and download everything they can. Make sense?
..plus i'll add my over-used quote "In future please see here about thread titles ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/440385"
